19 March 2012 Dear Colleagues ,
I need you urgent advise . Please help me to overcome from this issue . I filled ITR and last week I got a replied from Income tax ( see attached file ) that prepaid taxes claimed by me are not matching .
What I should do now . Kindly advice . Please advise urgently ..

19 March 2012 I am not able to view the attached file. But as the case is related to prepaid taxes, check the taxes credited to your PAN under Form 26AS matches with what you have claimed in the return filed.

(1) If it matches, you may contact the assessing officer with a copy of Form 26AS.

BUT

(2) If the credit of TDS mismatches with what you had claimed in the return, contact the deductor for correction of TDS credit.

(3) If the credit of Advance Tax / Self Assessment Tax mismatches, contact the bank for correction of the credit.

The demand is arising as the Pre -Paid taxes claimed by you are not matching with the date available in the system .you may kindly write to AO giving proof in support of your claim . you need not come to the office and the rectification will be done .
