Please inform whether for CA final tax paper for getting 50 plus mark,section no and case law required to mention or not.

It is always advisable to quote correct section no.s in the answers wherever applicable. This will give additional weightage to your answers.

To score 50 plus marks in Tax, your concepts should be clear.
No need to just remember name of case laws and section numbers.
While reading Tax; first of all try to understand the provisions of the Income-tax. Don't learn sections at that time.
Read two-three latest Tax Referencer or similar magazines to know which sections are important.
After having all the knowledge about the provisions; then try to learn some of the important sections and case laws.
