08 July 2015 sir,
my client is a Tamil Nadu state government retired employee. His total pension from April 1996 to march 2013 is Rs.1364344/-, the same is received in the respective years and each year the income is below the basic exemption limit.
But in the year 2013-14 the client received arrears of pension Rs.960484/- for the last 18 years and the pension income for 2013-14 is Rs.178246.
The client didn't file income tax return so far.
kindly guide me
