This query is : Resolved

12 August 2026 I want know how to calculate turnover and other expenses to be included in ITR for income from F&O trading.I possible kindly explain with example.

12 August 2026 F&O trading is treated as non-speculative business income filed under ITR-3, where total turnover is calculated by summing absolute gains, absolute losses, and option sale premiums. All direct trading costs—including STT—and related overheads are deductible, allowing any net business loss to be set off against other non-salary income or carried forward for up to 8 assessment years.
