In Salary ,if HRA is merged in basic to avail benefit of PF, is the employee eligible to claim HRA/Rent benefit in IT Return.

Since there is no HRA being paid as per your salary structure you cannot claim HRA benefit.

If m not receiving HRA from company and i have not own any house anywhere...and i am paying rent to my wife...then can i claim rent as deduction ...

Section 80GG. But it has very wierd deduction of max Rs. 2000 per month.
