by valid do you mean recognised by ugc or govt.?
this issue needs to be checked from icfai website or through a clarification from icfai officials.
MBA correspondence COURSE ANYWHERE needs to be followed by a project study by the mba final students. otherwise in interview and jobs this will be a handicap.
MBA correspondence course is also offered by annamalai university.even a few of top ten mba institutions iflate have started mba correspondence course.pl. check all these issues before opting for any particular institution.

ICFAI is affiliated to Tripura University. They have good study material and research base but yu question of recognition is in which sense?
