For export, Importer – Exporter Code (IEC) is mandatory without which no export or import shall be permitted. At present IEC is issued online using digital signature only. For obtaining digital signature you may approach any one of the certifying authorities - (n ) code solutions , e-mudra and sifycomm. For further information /guidelines /list of documents required to be filed, you may like to refer to website ttp://dgft.gov.in/exim/2000/iec_anf/ieconlnapplform.htm After obtaining IEC you have to become member of Apparel Export Promotion Council for ready made garments. The customs duties on burkha will be provided by the council before actual import.
