We have a foreign company and want to establish company in New Delhi, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra to import contact lenses.
What are the permissions and licenses that we need to obtain in this regard from central and state governments?
Are there any issues we need to stay cautious about?

03 May 2012 as per provision laid down in Hand Book Of Procedures Vol-1(2009-2014) para 2.8(iii)the person who wanted to import / export for personal use/ agriculture purpose are exempt from IEC.

in view of above you will be get IEC code then after got iec code admissible for open the branch and export too as per provision and norms laid down in Foreign Trade Policy 2009-2014.

03 May 2012 firstly apply for IEC code then after REGISTRATION in concerned export promotion council.
