looking for somebody to opine on how does new GST regime impact the freight / logistics companies.

Start asking your consignor and consignee to share their GSTIN with you so that you are well equipped with all the necessary details on the appointed day of GST Act. Without GSTIN, no one will be allowed to take cenvat credit of its sales and purchase.
