25 May 2011 ASSESEE FILED RETURN UNDER SECTION 139(1) FOR A.Y.2008-2009 ON JULY 15, 2008 CLAIMING REFUND OF RS 40,000/-. ASSESSING OFFICER FAILED TO PROCESS THE RETURN BY 31-03-2011 INSPITE OF SEVERAL REMINDERS TO ASSESSING TO GRAND REFUND DUE TO THE ASSESSEE THROUGH REMINDING LETTERS.WHAT REMIDIES ARE AVAILABLE TO THE ASSESSEE FOR CLAIMING THE REFUND DUE TO HIM AFTER 31-03-2011?

27 May 2011 an Assessee has to serve an application upon Assessing officer stating all the facts and demanding refund with interest attaching the copy of return filed & copy of TDS certificate. If he is not responding to your request letter, please intimate the facts with CIT of the same circle/ward. Surely you will get refund.
