Icome tax fund

04 June 2014 Hi all , We have requested for refund re issue to our clients address. Without informing us the client has shifted to some other state. The refund cheque has gone back two times. Later we requested the same to new address. Unfortunately the bank account has been already closed. Not able to deposit the same. The client is thinking that it will not come.He told that contact income tax department, get the refund and adjust the same against your pending audit fee. What to do ?Now if I request for refund re issue it is telling refund cheque has already issued and even we are not having client new bank account details.

05 June 2014 Refund can again be reissued after the same is reported as failed in the Assessee's login. But in order to get new cheque which can be encashed, you must provide proper new address and also new bank account number. And no one other than the assesse can encash the same. You can tell you client that this has to be done in this way only. If he doesn't co-operate then you can do nothing since the cheque will be issue in the assessee's name only. EVEN ECS will be made after verification of Account holder name only.

05 June 2014 Dear Friend Eswar Reddy,
Refund can be obtained by two ways i.e. either by cheque or by ECS. But first you must have running bank account details. First you have to check whether refund case is at Bangalore or it is transferred to jurisdiction ward office. If it is at Bangalore then You can submit new bank account and address details by income tax website log in or if it is transferred to jurisdiction ward office then you have to submit these details manually to the concerned ward officer. If your client doesn't co-operate in this regard then the fault is not from your part so he can not withhold your consulting fees for the same.
