Yes it is applicable as it is part of Finance Bill 2015.
♦ There is some misinformation being spread that ICDSs may not be applicable for May 2016 exams, which is false.
♦ As per Board of Studies Announcement dated 2-1-2016 on “Applicability of Standards/Guidance Notes/Legislative Amendments etc. for May, 2016 – Final Examination”, all amendments upto 31-10-2015 are applicable.
♦ Further, the RTPs and Supplementary issued by ICAI for May 2016 also contain references to ICDSs.
♦ Hence, the students may please note that they should not be confused about unverified claims.
♦ Students must study ICDSs, which have revamped the day-to-day computation of PGBP/IFOS Income.
