I paid bond amount when i resigned.is it exemptd frm tax

i paid amount of 328000 as bond amount in january this year as i resigned from my job.is it deductable ie is it reduced from total taxable salary?.the company i last served didnt reduce it from total taxable income due to which iam being recovered 20000 tax this year
