06 January 2025 sir,
One of my friend has I&E code. He is not use for a long time . While checking this status at the time is suspended . I informed him this matter and He try to activate this .While checking now this show that his I&E code status is "amended" Let's me know this This I&E code is active .
Please advise

12 August 2025 If the IEC status is showing as "Amended", it generally means the IEC is active, but some changes/updates have been made recently (like address, contact details, PAN details, etc.).

"Amended" is a positive status, not a suspension.

It means the DGFT has accepted an update request and the IEC is currently valid and usable.
