I cannot get my tax refund for the F.Y. 2007-08 yet.

15 May 2009 Respected Sir,

Please help me about my bellow quarry.

I had submit an income tax return in Mayur Bhavan (New Delhi) for the F.Y. 2007-08 and my employer had educated so extra amount from my annual income and also I showed/claimed the refund should be Rs. 18,000/-, but I could not get the refund from income tax department yet.

So, please help me in this regarding, and let me know how I can get the same, what is the procedure to get the same. I am sure you will reply me soon and your reply will give me a great support.

15 May 2009 Mr. Sambhit, please take a photo copy or original acknowledgement of the Return filed and visit the IT office where you submitted the Return of Income.
Normally, it takes time to receive the Refunds because of high volume of Returns are to be processed by IT Dept.
You will definitely get the refund.

Mr. Sambit,

I agree with the answer of the Vipul Bhvsar but in some cases if the refund order has been generated and sent but not recieved by the assessee at that time you should bring an Indemnity Bond to the assessing officer showing that you have not recieved the refun for respective A.Y. of Rs. 18000/-,

so first try to know the status of your refund order and then find the action respectively.

15 May 2009 But Sir, when I am trying to track my refund status in nsdl web site, it is showing “you assessing officer has not sent this refund to refund banker and if this refund has been sent by your assessing officer within the last week, you may wait for a week and again ckeck status”

I have checked the same before 2/3 months ago, in that time the above massage also showed. and it has gone too many days, so how much days I can wait for the same. I am have a lot of work in my office and shall I visit to IT office and authorize somebody for track the same in IT office.

please help and suggest me, what shall I do for the same.
