HUF partner whose karta is a CA

Can HUF of a person whose Karta is a Chartered Accountant can become a partner in a firm doing business of construction in his representative capacity. If so whether any permission is required from Institute.

In my opinion, Yes HUF can become partner and no permission of ICAI is required.

If CA is a practicing CA, he should not involve in day to day activities of the business or he should not do business on behalf of the firm. If he wants to do so he should get prior permission from ICAI.
If CA is not a practicing CA then he can Join without any permission.
