22 February 2009 Respected sir,
I have two sons and two daughters. All have got married. I have gifted a sum separately to my both sons through gift deed and they have formed their own HUF. Now I also want to create my own HUF by accepting gift from my old aged mother. Is it possible?
Beside this my question is that my both sons have their own independent HUF then will they be a part of my HUF and they are married.

22 February 2009 Yes you can create a HUF by receiving gift from your mother. But you have to make a gift deed contianing the clauses that the benefit should go to you, your sons and if nececssary to your grand sons.

Your sons can become a member of your huf. As per It paralance your's will be called as Bigger HUF and your sons huf will be called as smaller huf.
