25 June 2011 If I Own a House Property and paying housing loan for installment and I am staying in a rented in Same City.

Tell me whether I am eligible for HRA and Interest on Housing Loan Rebate on Income Tax.

My Employer is not given HRA exemption in my Form 16 because of not receiving of my rent receipt but i give the rent receipt. Can i clim for HRA exemption.

is this case come for scrutiny?

HRA will not give to you, becouse only one benefit you can choose.

you are not mention in your question distance of your residencial house and holding house loan.

if distance is more than 50 km, not possible to up or down daily in this case you may claim both the benefit

it may different city.
