Hi can anybody help me regarding this??
Can an employee claim both HRA & Housing Loan principal ??
If yes what if he is claiming HRA by showing rent receipts of a place other than the place of employment

As per act he cannot claim both. But only one exception to the rule is that if he is staying in a city other than where he owns the house and particulary of employment purpose then he can claim both.
