30 March 2009 I am residing in a home on which I have taken Home Loan?? will i get HRA benefit??

30 March 2009 No HRA being allowance on rent paid you can not claim both the benefits of Interest on housing Loan and HRA.

But in case if you are residing in a city where you dont have an own resident and if you can prove that your own residence is not letout then you can claim HRA.

31 March 2009 For claimimg exemption of HRA u must be paying rent, since u r residing in your house you are not paying rent and hence u can not claim exemption u/s 10(13A) For HRA
