I have produce rent receipt to my employer but he his now asking for rent agreement ?
And
Rent agreement is not registered in mumbai so it will valid or not?

Yes, it is valid from employer perspective. They have nothing to do with being agreement registered or unregistered.
Purpose of getting the same registered is to safeguard interest of landlord and tenant only.
But why your employer is asking for lease agreement, you don’t need to provide agreement and can just provide them rent receipts.
