MY BROTHER IS WORKING IN RELIACNE AND GET A MONTHLY INCOME AS HRA OF Rs.3500.00 AND TOTAL ANNUAL SALARY IS 198000.00 HOW CAN I SAVE TAX

your brothers total salary is rs 198000/- & as per f y 2008-09 basic exemption is rs.150000/- & if your brothers investment in sec 80C is near by 40000/-tax liability is minimum so in my opnion you forget it HRA otherwise your brother take a house on rent basis it is possible or not
