How to verify the private company shares

i have a private company share , i want to verify in IT dept that the share certificate given to me is valid..how can i verify it ? .Please help me .

U check common seal of the co on the share certificate.

can't i check from the Income tax stating who are all share holders and how much shares they hold?

There is no such option to check in Income tax department about the share details
