How to surrender pan no

my query is my client applied for pan no in trust but in application wrongly tick in AOP rather than trust so how can i surender pan no ...what is the format for surrender of pan no..

can i applied new pan no application for trust.?

19 September 2013 Just write a simple letter to NSDL and send your original PAN card with it. Your PAN card will be cancelled. There is no standard form as such for cancellation of PAN.
Yes you can apply for the new PAN for trust.

19 September 2013 but ratan sir ,

i got advice from advocate who told me you should go with juridicial officer and given pan no copy with cancelled letter. and given resion for cencellation pan no.. so i m confuesed about it..

so pls tell me what will i do for that

19 September 2013 No dont go to jurisdictional officer. He can not do anything. Any matter regarding PAN is solely handled by NSDL. There is no reason to quote any reason for cancellation.
