how to start preparing for CA FINAL

14 November 2016 Sir, my CA final attemlt is in May 2019 and I want to start my.preparation but a new revised syllabus has been introduced and j have been registered u der new scheme. My question is with which subject should I start my final preparation according to the new revused syllabus and which book to follow. please help because I dont want to waste my time

Very nice to see you that your planning for your May 2019 attempt from now itself. This is a good indication from a student's point of view and a good strategy to qualify your examination in the first attempt itself. You need to pick the books that will be issued by ICAI on the introduction of new syllabus. Based on it you can slowly look out for best authors book from the market.

As a student of CA course, your knowledge must not be restricted only to books that is issued by ICAI or private authors text book. You must start reading lot of contents from Professional journals, magazines, business dailies to shape you career. Change is one constant and imminent thing in a CA's life, whether as a student or post qualification.

For instance, some concepts or topics like Ind - AS, GST, Companies Act etc are still evolving and there may be many more that you may have to gear up, so start getting to know those, which will help you not only from examination point of view but even in practical life. Come out from the framework of knowing contents only from Examination point of view and enlarge your horizon to the world of challenges / complexities / competitiveness. Wish you best of luck.
