How to resent password in it portal

Dear experts,
Where we do not have control over the registered email, how shall we reset the password in incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.
earlier we used to send an application to validate@incometaxindia.gov.in and the resent password is being sent the mail id from which such request is made.
now even on such request the department is sending new password to the registered email id.
Where we do not have control over the registered e-mail id what shall we do.
can we change the registered e-mail id without logging into the account.
please suggest

1)Not possible to change registered email id with out login to efiling website
2)you recommended to make a call to "efiling" help line centre and can seek guidence from them
3)if possible use forgot password option where you can reset password using "last year efiling acknowledgement number and bank account number

I have already called the helpline. They responded that they can only send the new password to the registered e-mail.
Is there any other way to get the password changed.

Please ask them that you are unable to access that registered mail id as you forgot the password,,
