my exams are due in may 2017 and i plan to prepare audit by myself. please guide me as to which are the important chapters in ca final audit? i.e. which carry the maximum marks weightage. also please suggest me how to approach audit preparation?

You must get rid of the myth that a particular chapter is important and other is not so important. Please note it is a professional examination and questions could be appearing from any corner of the material. So it is better you involve in complete study of all chapters and never indulge in selective studies.
Chapters based on Professional Ethics, Companies Act 2013, Standards on Auditing and Guidance Notes, Internal Controls etc based on past trend are frequent questions in the examination, but at the mean time you got to ensure that you give importance to even a minor chapter, so that you can score good marks in the exam.
