Hi,
In case of supply a goods to your buyer , goods damaged during transit , seller insurance claim to courier company , , buyer already issue debit note against damges goods received .

If claim is made to insurance company
Debit Insurance claim receivables ( under current asset)
Credit the buyer
On receipt of claim
Debit bank account
Credit insurance claim receivables
If less amount of claim is received , the difference amount to be debited to consumption account

On receipt of claim
Debit bank account
Credit insurance claim receivables
