How to make tds reconciliation for refund

14 April 2013 A client of mine has filed return of income for A.Y.2011-12 claiming a refund of Rs. 894070/- and showing TDS of Rs.894070/- as well.
however, as per 26AS tds deducted was only Rs. 810070/-.

The difference is because of :
1. TDS deducted in A.Y. 2009-10 claimed now 34000/-(was not available in 26AS of 2009-10)
2. TDS deducted in A.Y. 2010-11 claimed now 51000/-(available in 26AS of 2010-11)

Now i want to know how to make reconciliation and how to claim refund from department??

28 May 2013 Go to your account take the print of form No AS 26 and tally the same with your accounts and find out the parties who deducted tax and either not deposited or not filed the tds return. On verification contact the parties and get the TDS returns filed or if any mistake has been committed then get it corrected to avail full credit of TDS. If parties do not respond then file a complain against the parties to ITO TDS having jurisdiction over your case.
