I want the procedure for how to file income tax return for example salary or professional income with detailed procedure by step by step if possible

12 November 2013 Firstly, you have to register as Individual/HUF/Firm/Company on incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and you have to mention a valid email id.
On successful registration, You will get email confirmation for creation of user profile on your registered email id.
There after with the help of utility of IT Department of various ITR forms (whichever is applicable to you), fill up the relevant details in the form.
With the help of this utility, you can generate xml file of your Income Tax Return of relevant Asst. Years and after validation of xml file, you have to submit it to your Income Tax India Website Log In.
