How to change the name after itr submission?

01 August 2013 I submited my ITR by xml file.

I updated First Name as RAMESH GOLLAPUDI and Last Name as GOLLAPUDI.

So name is showing wrongly RAMESH GOLLAPUDI GOLLAPUDI. How to change First Name?

From RAMESH GOLLAPUDI to RAMESH?

01 August 2013 It is doesn't matter for processing of ITR. And you no chance to correction in name and only one choice is filing of revise return(but revise return shall be file if any differences in the returned income or taxable income or tax payments etc...).

01 August 2013 Actually I filed tax returns amount correctly but added or entered some tax paid details so it is telling I will get some amount return back. But which is not correct.Under TDS 24th Row.

One more thing in the FAQS I saw PAN Name and tax details name should match. But two times same name is coming that will not effect?

01 August 2013 In your first query you didn't indicated regarding your mistake at TDS schedule. So don't worry file revise return if possible to revise u/s 139(4). And FAQ PAN Name and tax details name should be match means name as per the PAN CARD and as per the form 26AS should be same i.e once tax credit shall not be claim by another one.

01 August 2013 So i think mistake of name is doesn't matter to you because of process of ITR shall be done based on the PAN Number.
