25 December 2011 I had purchased a plot at Rs.67000/- on Jan-2006. the same was sold at Rs.181000/- on May-2011. How can I Calculate the Capital Gain. Pl.tell me detail. Thanks

25 December 2011 Dear Swapnil.

for calculation and with given set of data you have to divide the cost with index of 2006 and then multiply it with index of 2011 then subtract your sales price with the amount as calculated above then multiply it by 20.60% there comes your long term capital gain.

24 May 2012 as above formula CG is Rs.15486/- is all that amount is payable to me or is there any way to save this tax amount? plz reply me...
