07 July 2012 If an employee is claiming rebate u/s 10 for House Rent paid, are the rent receipts produced by the employee are sufficient for company's records or any other document is also required? Please suggest.

07 July 2012 Rent receipt is sufficient to claim HRA but if rent receipt is above Rs 5000/- then Rs 1 (one) revenue stamp is require to paste on rent Receipt and duly sign by a recipient.
