Mr.X, an employee of BHEL has a self occupied property which he has given to the company on self lease & is getting an income of Rs. 150000/- from the Company. Can this be treated as rental income & can Mr.X avail rebate u/s 24?

yes it comes under Income from house property and he can enjoy the deduction of u/s 24
