24 July 2017 If i paid hotel bill for my guest and hotel invoice not apply GST. should i have to pay GST under RCM method.
Hotel person is unregistered person and hotel one room rent is below Rs 1000/-

24 July 2017 From your query it is not clear whether you are registered under GST or not so answer under both situation is given.

GST is your case is required to be deposited under reverse charge only if you are a registered person but if you are also an unregistered person then there is no requirement for depositing tax under reverse charge

24 July 2017 Let me correct myself Services by a hotel for residential or lodging purposes, having declared tariff of a unit of accommodation less than one thousand rupees per day is EXEMPT from GST and when service is exempt there is no question of reverse charge because reverse charge only shifts tax liability from supplier to receiver and does make any service taxable which is otherwise exempt in law
