Can anyone please guide/tell me what all should be seen in internal audit in hospital pharmacy???

The risky area of hospital is the cash less services rendered to the patients and the payment made by the insurance company. There is always possibility of mismatch between the amount approved by the insurance company and the billing done by the hospital. This area has to be taken care. Another area is the pharmacy unit of the hospital which is subject to various deviations. Stocking of medicines which have expired is a concern. You can also look into the billing procedure and ensure that all the related investigations are billed accordingly.
