if I take home loan in joint name. say interest is 1 lakh will I and my husband both can claim interest deduction u/s 24 I.e. total of 2 lakh deduction

Yes Richa, You can claim the deduction of one lack in your name and one lack for your husband.
Refer Section-26, for the co-ownership of a property. In case, the self used property then 1.5 lack will be eligible for each of co-owner.
