I AM NOT ABLE TO UPLOAD RETRURN FOR THE A-Y 09-10 I.E FOR PY 08-09.
IS IT NOT PERMISSIBLE TO FILE E-FILE FOR THE SAME???
IS THERE ANY RULE THAT IF THE E-FILE OF AY 10-11 IS DONE THROUG E-FILE THEN NOW YOU CAN'T DO E-FILE FOR AY09-10?

I FOUND THE ERROR AS FOLLOW
ERROT PARSING THE IT RETURN XML PLEASE UPLOAD A PROPER XML FILE
BUT IN FACT I HAVE EVEN CHANGE THE ITR AND AGAIN GENERATE THE XML FILE BUT IT IS NOT ACCEPTED
I AM USING THE ITR AVAILABLE FROM ONLINE INCOMETAX SITE.
IS THERE ANY CLAUSE THAT IF THERE IS MINOR CHANGE IN ADDRESS THEN IT WILL NOT ACCEPT THE RETURN.
PLS REPLY URGENTLY....

Check that the correct ITR is selected at the time of filing return and proper A. Y. is also selected.

Then there must a problem of THE E-FILE OF AY 10-11 IS DONE THROUG E-FILE THEN NOW YOU CAN'T DO E-FILE FOR AY09-10.
Never got such type of error but never did like this also.

You are welcome. Anyways email the same to the id mentioned above. It might help or contact aayakar sampark kendra at 0124 2438000.

The problem should not be arising... Still, if you are saying, then it could be prevailing...

I found the same error while filing return for A. Y. 2009 - 10.
ERROR PARSING THE IT RETURN XML PLEASE UPLOAD A PROPER XML FILE
So it means that for A. Y. 2009 - 10 there is a problem in efiling in general and not because next return is filed earlier.

BRO THATS TRUE BUT MY RETURN IS NOW UPLOADED EVEN FOR THE AY09-10.
I SUGGEST YOU TO TRY TO UPLOAD FROM ANOTHER COMPUTER SYSTEM. OR YOU MAY DO ONE THING TRY TO UPLOAD AFTER SOME TIME.
AS MY RETURNS ARE UPLOADED YOUR'S WILL ALSO UPLOADED. IT MAY BE ARISE DUE TO ANY TECHNICAL ERROR AT SITE BUT YOU MAY TRY AFTER SOMETIME

Good news man.
Will try to file the same tomorrow from different PC's. While efiling for A. Y. 2010 - 11 is going on smoothly but efiling for A. Y. 2009 - 10 is giving the same error.
