Please explain what is LTC(leave travel concession)? Why it is given by emploer to employee? Please dont explain the exemption limits regarding LTC. I just want to understand the meaning of LTC and purpose for giving by the employer to employee...........

Basically LTC is given for the Ticket cost for the journey that an employee would incur on Tour for his dependent & himself.
LTC is also a good thing for tax planning as twice in a four year, this a exempt from income tax.
