MY CLIENT, WHICH IS THE COMPANY, HAD OBTAINED GST REGISTRATION AS NORMAL"GST TAX PAYER" ON NOVEMBER 2017. BUT NOW THE COMPANY WILL BE OPERATING ITS BUSINESS ONLINE(TRANSACTING BUSINESS AND RECEIVING PAYMENTS ONLINE)
MY QUESTION IS WHETHER THE COMPANY HAS TO SURRENDER ITS GST REGISTRATION AS NORMAL "GAT PAYER" AND OBTAIN GST REGISTRATION AS "E-COMMERCE OPERATOR" OR THERE IS ANY OTHER OPTION AVAILABLE??
PLEASE HELP SOLVE THE PROBLEM

You can amend the registration certificate. Surrender is not required.

MA'AM, BUT THERE IS NO OPTION FOR SUCH AMENDMENT EITHER IN CORE FIELDS OR NON CORE FIELD.

You have to amend the services tab. In case you are opting as tax collector the you have to go for separate registration.

thank u ma'am, when we register as tax payer, in services tab there is no option for ecommerce operator.
this means the company has to surrender the gst registration as " tax payer" and obtain registration as " ecommerce operator" ?

If you are applying registration for collecting TCS and depositing tax you need to obtain fresh registration.
