15 July 2017 my query regarding Gst rate on transportation with supply. if supply of 28% rate material and also charging transportation charge on bill then what is GST rate on transport.. thanks

15 July 2017 The rate of GST on transportation of goods is 5%.

15 July 2017 THANKS FOR SUGGESTION, PLEASE SUGGEST SUPPLIER REIMBURSE TRANSPORTATION WITH SUPPLY INVOICE...?
THEN ITS CHARGING HIGHER RATE 28% AS PER RATE OF GOODS SUPPLYING.

15 July 2017 If freight is charged along with the product in Invoice then it is a composite supply and what it the tax rate applicable for the primary product that rate will be applicable for freight. If your vendor is sending goods through GTA on To Pay basis then you have to pay RCM @ 5% on Freight.
