20 August 2017 How can i claim gst credit on telephone and restaurant bill.. also food bills delivered at office/ home.

Also please advise can we claim credit on bills in personal name.

Please give copy of GST Registration and register the number with your telecom operator if it is a post paid connection. Then they will file it in their returns of outward supply and you will get it in your GSTR2 for Inward Supply. If Prepaid, usually online there is provision by telecom operator to give your GST registration details. Give it and get your ITC.

and restaurant bill.also food bills delivered at office/ home.
ITC is not allowed for restaurant whether under composition or otherwise. It is only allowed within the same business of supply of food. This means if I give a contractor a contract to run the kitchen of my restaurant and supply me the dishes and I add value and put it in my bill to customer, I can take ITC but for non restaurant business ITC cannot be taken.

Also please advise can we claim credit on bills in personal name.
You can claim ITC only on expenses that are for furtherance of your business and not personal expenses. Therefore, please give your GST TIN number to whomsoever you source your supplies for furtherance of your business and he will also note the business name of yours.. You can claim ITC for what you pay on RCM basis as there even if you get the bill of supply in personal name, you will be generating the tax invoice yourself for paying the GST on RCM basis.
