Gst applicability on purchase of vouchers

14 June 2018 We as a company are issuing vouchers to customers which can be redeemed at the time of purchase of products. Is GST applicable on purchase of such vouchers by the customers. Are we supposed to charge GST on issue of such vouchers?

14 June 2018 GST is applicable on issue of vouchers. However, the time of supply (when to pay tax) arises at the time of redemption of such vouchers by the customers.

14 June 2018 So the company issuing voucher is supossed to charge GST from the customer??
