Gratutiy exemption

(Querist)
12 July 2019 According to Notification No. S.O. 1213(E) dated 8 March 2018 the limit of Gratuity exemption exceeded to Rs. 20 Lakhs with effect from 29 March 2018..
My question is whether the date of effectiveness of notification is same for Govt. and Private employees
If any other notification or clarification is issued by the CBDT. Please guide.

15 July 2019 Any notification, if it is not specifically stated for a particular section, (which will be stated in the notification) will be applicable to all. Thus, it will be applicable for Govt. employees as well as employees working in private organizations.
