Dear Sir,
If we had paid gratuity in cash to workers & forgot to make entry in cash book, can we show the same exp. entry after 4 to 5 yrs. urgent

It can open a pendora of box as it can question the cash expenses accounted in the previous years.
Moreover, if the cash account is tallied all these years, there will be a questioon of unaccounted receipts whihc went to make the cash payment for gratuity.
Only a suspense account carried over from those years can help the case.
