Got memebership no. but anware firm name

09 September 2011 Hello Friends..

I have cleared my CA in May 11.

I have applied for membership no. and COP.

I got my membership number and COP Status is Full time COP.

But i didnt get my Firm name and i called at institute and they said it will come by letter.

So inspite of having COP i can not sign any tax audit report as i didnt get my Firm name.

So can any one help me, how i can come to know my firm name.

09 September 2011 There is nothing like that.

You can sign the Tax Audits in your individual name also.

09 September 2011 CA membership is issued to individuals, not to firms,

certified CA(s)form their firm or business identity by self.

the audit reports are signed on behalf of firm but by individual and stating individual CA membership number.
