29 November 2012 What is the difference between goods-in-transit & transhipment of goods?

29 November 2012 I will explain it through an example.

For eg.. 5000 Units were transferred to Bombay from USA. Out of this 5000 units unloaded, 2000 units were transferred to kerala port through another vessel.

Answers---

* 5000 units are goods in transit for bombay port.
* 2000 units are goods in transit for kerala port.
* 2000 units are goods in transhipment for Bombay port.
