18 June 2017 Respected Experts, My friend is going to Canada on study base. He now wants to stop his articleship as to comply with procedures and rules. He is currently in ipcc 2 and 2nd year of articleship. What is he required to do to comply with ICAI regulations.

18 June 2017 yes. there are options of doing articleship outside India. In that case the termination with the current principal is not a problem at all.

in case you want to discontinue, then ask your principal to write to the ICAI and cancel your registration. There are no standard procedures defined for this. So you principal will have to initiate the termination on one ground or the other.
