For Assessment Year 2012-2013 my sister's total taxable Income is Rs. 190000. For female taxpayer, the tax liability was zero I filed online return we had recd demanding notice of Rs 1,000/- tax liability. I filed an online Rectification Application for Gender Mismatch. I have received a communication from the IT CPC saying that my application for rectification could not be processed at this point of time, for the following reasons: Gender as IT dept was male but actual gender is Female can anyone advice us what we can do now.

Revise the return if you have submitted in time by including any income which you have failed to disclose in the original return say bank interest and correct the gender in the revised return.

you need to apply for changes to be made in the database of it dept itself as they have reg u as male.

Revise it if it was filed as per sec 139{1}
