Full time converted part time, surrender cop?

22 June 2011 i had full time COP got certificate of the same but didnt do any practise or registered any firm name, then i joined job & intimated same to the institute, so it converted into part time COP.
Now Do i need to surrender the full time COP certificate or intimate institute anything in this regard?

Also what are the benefits of Part time cop?

20 July 2011 If you have intimated to ICAI its enough. But be sure that ICAI has received your application and it has processed it. You can check online at ICAI portal about the same.

The benefits of Part Time CoP are not much. You can only provide consultancy to clients but you cannot perform audit and attest function. It means, even you cannot sign as a Chartered Accountant.
